A French treaty, new art, and one very hot farmers market

Hey friends,

I honestly can’t believe how fast summer is flying by. How is it already August?! Wasn’t it just June five minutes ago?

July was a whirlwind around here….between family getting ready for school (college and high school, here we come!), new art in the studio, my first wholesale order, and a much-needed trip to NYC, I’ve barely had time to catch my breath.

But let’s rewind a bit, because I’ve got stories—and pictures!—to share...

🎨 New Art, a Wholesale Win & One Very French Meltdown

This month, I released some fresh greeting cards and stickers that I cannot wait for you to see. I love bringing new pieces to markets—it’s the best way to chat with folks, see what resonates, and feel that creative connection in real time.

Also big news: I launched my wholesale portal (cue confetti!) and got my very first order within three days! 💌 Cue...a minor meltdown. Let’s just say international shipping + confusing customs forms + a late-night spiral landed me knee-deep in a treaty (in French!) I could not understand. My poor husband found me tearfully muttering in my studio about diplomatic trade agreements. 😅 The glamorous life of a small biz owner!

☀️ Market Life: Heat Waves & Happy Faces

It’s been hot, like, “how many ice packs can I tuck into this booth setup” hot. But every sweaty setup is worth it to see your faces and share in those joyful little moments.

I did my very first North Andover Farmers Market this past weekend, and it was magical. Shoutout to the volunteer angel who handed me a cold water bottle halfway through—I’ve never felt more seen.

Here’s where I’ll be next:

NYC Adventures: Art, Food & Sore Feet

My husband and I spent a jam-packed week exploring NYC—Central Park, the High Line, Chinatown (the soup dumplings!!), and so many museums and shows. We even got to be in the studio audience for The Daily Show!

We saw “Operation Mincemeat,” “Stranger Things,” “Death Becomes Her,” and “Just In Time” (Jonathan Groff was everything). I took an embarrassing number of photos at the Botanical Garden and walked so much I had to buy new shoes. Zero regrets.

Calendar Sneak Peek: Cozy Cottages & Botanical Bliss

While everything else has been swirling this summer, I’ve also been quietly chipping away at a big creative project for next year: my brand-new calendar!

After lots of sketching, dreaming, and searching through references, I finally landed on a theme that just feels right. I even gave myself a full creative day at Panera (hello, free refills and quiet booths!) to map it all out—month by month.

It’s going to be a big focus for me in the coming weeks, and I’ve got a lot of cozy drawing sessions ahead… but I couldn’t resist sharing a little visual teaser with you:

Got a favorite from the collage? Or something you’re hoping to see in the final calendar? I’d love to hear—comment below and share your thoughts! 💌

💖 Thanks for spending a little time with me today.

Whether you’re here for the market musings, the art sneak peeks, or just a moment of connection—I’m so glad you’re here. If something in this note made you smile (or if you’ve ever gotten lost in a French treaty too), hit reply—I’d love to hear from you.
